Interdisciplinary approaches in the study of art history.
The study of art has long gone beyond one discipline. The breadth of views of the modern researcher makes it possible to consider new aspects of topics and objects of art, revealing the main ideas and concepts. Due to the interdisciplinary approach in the study of art theory and history, new meanings of old works are discovered and concepts of modern artistic practices are explained. In addition, the interdisciplinary approach responds to the complexity and heterogeneity of art in general and allows the researcher to go beyond the specific disciplines. Similar complication and expansion of ways of studying require new ways of thinking about art, which will be the theme of this round table discussion. The main mission of this round table is to discuss methods and features of interdisciplinary approaches in relation to art history.
